October 2026 Paddle Roundup: Full Foam, Tougher Grit and a Surprise Team-Up
October is turning into one of the busiest paddle months of the year, and the releases share a theme: brands are chasing paddles that feel the same in month six as they did on day one.
The big idea: surfaces that last
Spin-heavy raw carbon faces made the last two seasons exciting, but players kept complaining that the texture wore smooth. This month’s launches answer that with tougher grit finishes. Holbrook’s Fuze VantaGrit promises extra control from a new grit, Enhance is putting its ArmorGrit surface on the MPP Turbo at roughly $100, and RPM’s Jade, the brand’s first MPP paddle, uses a durable grit too.

Full foam keeps spreading
JOOLA’s Power FX is the company’s first full-foam paddle, and it lands as foam keeps replacing polypropylene honeycomb across the market. The pitch is a bigger sweet spot, less vibration and steadier energy return, which is why foam shows up in so many fall releases.
Two names worth watching
Bread & Butter’s Loco 2 is reportedly a joint release with Selkirk, an unusual pairing of two big brands. Gearbox’s Pressure X is being called the most technically advanced paddle of the month. Neither has full specs yet, so wait for hands-on reviews before you pay up.
